The Executive Director of the Saudi Dodgeball Federation, Abdulaziz Al-Hazzani, crowned the winners of the Dammam Dodgeball Championship, which concluded on Saturday at the “Sports for All” Dome. The البطولة was held from April 16 to 18 and featured competitions in the men’s category, under-15 category, and mixed category, with a total prize pool of SAR 40,000.
In the men’s “foam ball” category, Al-Anwar Club claimed the championship title and a prize of SAR 5,000. Al-Sahari Club finished as runner-up, earning SAR 3,000, while Al-Taraji Club secured third place and received SAR 2,000.
In the men’s “cloth ball” category, Al-Sahel Club took first place and a prize of SAR 5,000. Qaryat Al-Ulya Club came second with SAR 3,000, and Al-Taraji Club finished third, earning SAR 2,000.
In the mixed category, Dodgebulls won first place and SAR 5,000, followed by Spiders in second place with SAR 3,000, while Flaming Throwers secured third place and received SAR 2,000.
In the under-15 category, Legends Team claimed first place and SAR 5,000. Champions Team finished second with SAR 3,000, and Knights Team came third, earning SAR 2,000.
Al-Hazzani praised the outstanding performance of all participating teams, noting that these high levels reflect the Saudi Dodgeball Federation’s efforts in recent months to develop players’ skills through various training initiatives. He highlighted the growing interest in the sport and the federation’s commitment to nurturing talent.
It is worth noting that the Dammam Championship was part of the Saudi Dodgeball Federation’s April calendar, which includes training activities in Riyadh, Jeddah, and Dammam. These initiatives aim to enhance player skills, discover new talents, expand participation in the sport, and further develop national teams.
