The Saudi Dodgeball Federation, under the leadership of His Highness Prince Saud bin Abdulaziz bin Mohammed Al Saud, achieved numerous accomplishments and successes throughout 2025, a year that marked a new phase of growth for the sport in the Kingdom, alongside a record expansion in the participation base across various regions of Saudi Arabia.
Saudi dodgeball recorded historic international achievements during 2025, highlighted by winning the silver medal at the Asian Cup Championship held in Malaysia, an accomplishment that represents the culmination of the Federation’s efforts over recent years to develop the sport and discover talented players who were refined and prepared to present a distinguished image of Saudi sports on the international stage.
Administrative Achievements
The year 2025 was not only a breakthrough in sporting achievements for the Saudi Dodgeball Federation, but also witnessed significant qualitative progress in administrative operations. The Federation unveiled its new visual identity across all social media platforms, celebrated the opening of its main headquarters, and officially transitioned to the World Dodgeball Federation (WDF).
The Saudi Dodgeball Federation received the Outstanding Performance Reward from the Saudi Olympic and Paralympic Committee for 2025 with an exceptional score of 99%. The Federation also earned the Best Work Environment Certification for the second consecutive year. In addition, it was invited to participate in the Esports World Cup as an accompanying championship.
Furthermore, the Federation obtained international recognition for implementing administrative system standards through achieving ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management Certification, becoming the first Saudi sports federation to obtain this certification and one of more than one million institutions worldwide accredited under this standard.
Enhancing Community Engagement
In line with its role in reinforcing the concept of Sport for All in alignment with Saudi Vision 2030, the Saudi Dodgeball Federation participated in several initiatives throughout 2025 related to this objective. It also signed multiple agreements with various official entities to promote the sport of dodgeball and expand its participation base.
The Federation took part in the Sports for All Expo, attracting approximately 600 visitors to its indoor booth and outdoor dodgeball court. It also initiated the activation of wheelchair dodgeball in partnership with Riyadh Club for Persons with Disabilities, while working on establishing official regulations for this category—making Saudi Arabia the first country in the world to take this step in the sport.
Additionally, the Federation collaborated with the Saudi Sports for All Federation to introduce the game in 16 schools across 10 cities, including Al-Kharj, Al-Baha, Al-Qunfudhah, Khamis Mushait, Jazan, Sabya, Makkah, Tabuk, Hail, in addition to Riyadh Club for Persons with Disabilities.
The Saudi Dodgeball Federation also signed Memoranda of Understanding with the Ministry of Education to expand school-based participation, as well as an agreement with the Royal Commission for AlUla to develop and promote dodgeball in AlUla. Moreover, cooperation with the Saudi University Sports Federation was strengthened through the launch of the first Universities Championship, featuring participation from 17 universities across the Kingdom. The championship is expected to be held annually with an increased number of participating universities.
Record Increase in Participation Base
The year 2025 witnessed a record surge in participation levels across the Federation’s open tournaments, with the total number of players exceeding 3,000, despite an initial target of approximately 2,000 players.
The Saudi Dodgeball Federation organized 51 tournaments, exceeding the targeted number of 32 tournaments by nearly 20 events. These tournaments recorded participation from 3,010 players, surpassing the target of 1,978 players by more than 1,000 participants. This included:

973 youth players (target: 615),
548 female players (target: 399).
Riyadh recorded the highest level of participation, with 1,394 male and female players, followed by Dammam with 744 participants, while Jeddah hosted 757 participants, reflecting the sport’s growing reach and popularity across the Kingdom.
