The Executive Director of the Saudi Dodgeball Federation, Mr. Abdulaziz Al-Hazani, crowned the winners of the Western Region Championship — “Jeddah Dodgeball Championship” — which was hosted by Jeddah International College from October 9 to 11. The total prize pool for the event amounted to 40,000 Saudi Riyals.
In the Men’s Cloth category, Team Nightmare claimed first place and the gold medals, while Samurai secured second place and the silver medals, and Fairy finished third, earning the bronze medals.
In the Foam category, Team Nightmare also captured the gold medals and first place, followed by Fairy in second place, while Samurai took the bronze medal for third place.
In the Women’s Cloth category, Team Smash won first place and the gold medal, with Shadows taking second place and the silver medal, while Venom finished third and received the bronze.
Meanwhile, in the Under-18 Foam category, Team Viper achieved first place and the gold medal, followed by Tuwaiq A in second place with the silver medal, and Thunder in third place with the bronze.
The total prize pool for the Jeddah Dodgeball Championship amounted to 40,000 SAR, with 5,000 SAR awarded to each first-place team in the various categories, 3,000 SAR to the runner-ups, and 2,000 SAR to the third-place teams.
Mr. Al-Hazani, the Executive Director of the Saudi Dodgeball Federation, stated that the Jeddah Championship marked a fitting conclusion to the series of regional tournaments recently organized by the Federation — starting with the Riyadh Championship, followed by the Dammam Championship. He expressed his gratitude to Jeddah International College for their outstanding hosting of the Western Region tournament.
Al-Hazani added that these championships represent the beginning of more events to come, as part of the Federation’s efforts to expand the presence of dodgeball across various regions of the Kingdom. These efforts aim to discover emerging talents and refine their skills, paving the way for them to become the foundation of future national teams.
