The Royal Commission for AlUla (RCU) has signed a cooperation agreement with the Saudi Dodgeball Federation. The agreement aims to develop the sport of dodgeball in AlUla through a comprehensive program that includes training and community pathways designed to support sports diversity and enhance quality of life, in line with the aspirations of AlUla Vision and Saudi Vision 2030.
The program featured specialized workshops, as well as an introductory event that allowed participants from different age groups to experience the game and learn its fundamentals. It also included certified courses to train referees and qualify coaches from AlUla’s local community, under the supervision of the Saudi Dodgeball Federation. The activities were held at AlUla Club and several schools between August 24 and 31, with the program’s initial phase targeting the establishment of three teams in preparation for future regional tournaments.
This collaboration reflects RCU’s ongoing efforts to develop the sports sector in AlUla and to foster the growth of emerging sports by creating diverse opportunities for community participation. It also reinforces AlUla’s position as a hub for talent development within a dynamic and sustainable sporting environment.
