The Saudi Dodgeball Federation signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Ministry of Education on Wednesday at the Ministry’s headquarters, in the presence of His Highness Prince Saud bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, President of the Saudi Dodgeball Federation, and Dr. Hassan bin Mohsen Khormi, Deputy Minister for General Education.
The MoU aims to strengthen cooperation between the Saudi Dodgeball Federation and the Ministry of Education by promoting the practice of dodgeball in schools through the training and qualification of physical education teachers and supervisors, while also encouraging students to engage in physical activity.
As part of the agreement, a promotional dodgeball championship will be organized across regional education departments, followed by a nationwide championship involving the Ministry’s general education departments across the Kingdom.
Under the MoU, the Saudi Dodgeball Federation will deliver lectures, workshops, and training programs for students, teachers, and supervisors nominated by the Ministry of Education. These initiatives will be carried out in coordination with the National Institute for Educational Professional Development and other relevant bodies, ensuring they do not interfere with the academic schedules of students and teachers.
Implementation will begin in the education departments of Riyadh, Jeddah, and Dammam, with gradual expansion to other education departments across the Kingdom through continued coordination between the Federation and the Ministry.
This MoU comes as part of the Saudi Dodgeball Federation’s efforts to broaden the sport’s base of participation, discover emerging talent, and build a strong foundation for the Saudi national team, supporting its participation in local, regional, and international competitions.
