Dar Al Uloom University in Riyadh will host the first university championship in the capital on Friday, featuring three teams from King Saud University and two teams from Imam Mohammad Ibn Saud Islamic University.
The second university dodgeball championship in Jeddah will also take place on Friday, with four teams representing Jeddah University, Effat University, King Abdullah University, and Jeddah International College. The competition will be hosted at Jeddah International College’s sports hall.
The third university championship will be held at King Fahd University of Petroleum and Minerals in Dhahran on Saturday, with four participating teams from the Arab Open University, Prince Mohammad Bin Fahd University, Al Ghad College, and the host university, King Fahd University of Petroleum and Minerals.
The partnership between the Saudi Dodgeball Federation and the Saudi University Sports Federation marks a major step forward in spreading dodgeball across Saudi universities.
The federation aims to use university championships to discover new talent and provide opportunities to develop their skills for future international participation. Additionally, it seeks to raise awareness and promote beneficial sports culture among students, helping to enhance their technical and athletic abilities.
Holding three university championships in just two days is another successful milestone in the Saudi Dodgeball Federation’s efforts to expand the game’s presence in the Kingdom and increase its popularity, especially with the growing interest among university students after recent sporting events.
