The Saudi Arabia under 21 national team for men, won the third place in the Asian Dodgeball Championships that concluded in the Malaysian capital, Kuala Lumpur.
The Saudi delegation, headed by His Highness Prince Saud bin Abdulaziz bin Mohammed Al Saud, President of the Saudi Dodgeball Federation, participated with 4 teams in the categories “Men, Women, Mixed, and Under-21 (Men).
The men’s team competed against the teams of Malaysia, Australia, Hong Kong, Singapore, Japan and India, the women’s team competed against Malaysia, Australia, Hong Kong, Singapore, Japan and China, the mixed team competed against Malaysia, Australia, Hong Kong and Japan, while the under-21 team competed against Malaysia, Hong Kong and India to win the bronze medal and third place.
For his part, His Highness Prince Saud bin Abdulaziz bin Mohammed Al Saud, President of the Saudi Dodgeball Federation, congratulated the Saudi under-21 national team on this achievement, which confirms the development of the game in the Kingdom in a record period that witnessed great efforts from the Saudi Federation, based on the unlimited support of the wise leadership for the sports sector in the Kingdom.
His Highness Prince Saud bin Abdulaziz bin Mohammed Al Saud added that the national teams achieved many gains in the Asian Championships, paving the way for global participation in the near future, noting that dodgeball has achieved great leaps during the past period after the spread of its practice base in many regions of the Kingdom, and perhaps one of the benefits expected from the Asian participation is the friction of the stars of the Saudi national teams in all categories “men and women” with teams that preceded them in practicing the game, especially in light of the distinguished participation and unprecedented results in the Asian Championships competitions.
