Abdulaziz Al-Hazzani, Executive Director of the Saudi Dodgeball Federation, crowned the winners of the Jeddah Dodgeball Championship, which was held at the Green Hall in Prince Abdullah Al-Faisal Sports City from May 14 to 16, with the participation of 25 teams and a total prize pool of SAR 40,000.
In the men’s “Cloth Ball” category, Al-Anwar Club secured first place and a prize of SAR 5,000, while Jeddah A finished second, earning SAR 3,000. Al-Hijaz Club claimed third place with a prize of SAR 2,000.
In the men’s “Foam Ball” competition, Al-Anwar Club also took first place and SAR 5,000. Al-Sahari Club finished as runner-up with SAR 3,000, while Al-Farouq Club secured third place with SAR 2,000.
In the women’s “Cloth Ball” category, Team Smash won first place and SAR 5,000, followed by Team Smiley in second place with SAR 3,000, while Team Venom came third with SAR 2,000.
In the women’s “Foam Ball” competition, Team Smash claimed first place and SAR 5,000, followed by Team Smiley in second place with SAR 3,000, while Team Venom secured third place with SAR 2,000.
The Jeddah Championship was part of the Saudi Dodgeball Federation’s May calendar and represented a final opportunity for many participating teams to secure the last qualification spots for the Kingdom Championship. Teams that finished first in the Riyadh and Dammam tournaments, along with the Jeddah winners, have qualified.
Al-Hazzani congratulated the winning teams, praising the outstanding level displayed during the championship. He noted that the competition reflects the growing development of the sport in the Kingdom and opens the door for discovering new talents to support the national teams ahead of the Dodgeball World Cup, which will be hosted in Thailand at the end of this year.
