The Executive Director of the Saudi Dodgeball Federation, Abdulaziz Al-Hazzani, crowned the winners of the Riyadh Dodgeball Championship, which concluded yesterday, Saturday, at the Green Halls after running from May 7 to 9. The tournament featured the participation of 54 teams and 430 players, with a total prize pool of SAR 50,000.
In the Men’s Cloth Ball category, Al Alameen Club claimed the championship title and received a prize of SAR 5,000, while Al Anwar Club finished as runners-up, earning SAR 3,000. Al Taraji Club secured third place along with a prize of SAR 2,000.
Al Alameen Club also captured first place in the Men’s Foam category and received SAR 5,000 in prize money. Al Anwar Club took second place with a reward of SAR 3,000, while Al Kawkab Club finished third and earned SAR 2,000.
In the Women’s Cloth Ball division, Team Beasts won the championship title and a cash prize of SAR 5,000. Team Smash finished second, receiving SAR 3,000, while Al Artawi Club claimed third place and a prize of SAR 2,000.
Meanwhile, in the Women’s Foam category, Team Beasts secured first place and a prize of SAR 5,000. Al Artawi Club finished second with SAR 3,000, while Team Smash came third and received SAR 2,000.
On this occasion, the Executive Director of the Saudi Dodgeball Federation congratulated all the winning teams, wishing success to every team that participated in the competition and delivered distinguished performances that reflect the remarkable growth of dodgeball in the Kingdom. He noted that the increasing popularity of the sport has contributed to the emergence of promising talents.
The Riyadh Championship was held as part of the Saudi Dodgeball Federation’s May calendar of events, which includes various training and competitive activities across Riyadh, Jeddah, and Dammam, aiming to develop players’ skills and discover more talents.
The Saudi Dodgeball Federation continues its efforts to expand participation in the sport, which has witnessed significant growth in recent years, ahead of the anticipated Dodgeball World Cup set to take place in Thailand later this year.
